Who is responsible
Polligon is operated by Intellitics, Inc., a Delaware corporation operating in California, United States. Contact: hello@polligon.io. Two roles to understand: for your Polligon account, we decide how data is handled. For a survey’s content and audience, the host organization decides why the survey exists and what it asks; we process responses on the survey’s behalf. Questions about a specific survey’s purpose belong with its host. Polligon serves participants worldwide; if you are in the EU/EEA/UK, the rights described below apply to you under the GDPR.
What we collect
Your email address — used to sign you in via confirmation links and, for surveys you joined, to notify you when the host opens a new question; there are no passwords. Your answers — including their full edit history: Polligon’s purpose is showing how opinions develop, so when you update an answer, the prior version is retained (never displayed individually). Product events — server-side records of feature usage used to improve the product; no third-party trackers, no advertising pixels. Technical logs — standard operational logs from our infrastructure providers. We deliberately do not collect your phone number, precise location, or anything a survey doesn’t ask.
The updates list
If you signed up for updates on polligon.io, we store your email address with a double-opt-in confirmation. We use it only to send you Polligon news, and every email includes an unsubscribe path. Write to hello@polligon.io to be removed at any time.
Host-defined questions
Survey questions are written by hosts. Some questions may invite information that is sensitive (for example, country of origin or beliefs). Answering is your choice; the host is responsible for having a lawful basis for what they ask. Demographic questions exist so the community can see itself in aggregate — never to profile you individually.
How results are shown
Only as anonymized aggregates: no answer is ever displayed with your name or email. Results appear only once at least 25 confirmed participants have answered; any breakdown segment smaller than 10 is not offered; any cell smaller than 5 is masked. Verbatim text answers are also withheld until the 25-answer threshold is met and are shown without attribution. Because results are live, totals move as people answer and change their minds — that is the product working as designed.
Who processes your data
Our subprocessors: Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Cloudflare (application hosting and delivery), and Resend (transactional email). Participants never provide payment data.
Retention and deletion
Responses and their history are retained while the survey and your account exist. To delete your account and responses during the beta, email hello@polligon.io — we complete deletion within 30 days of your request. A self-serve delete-account flow, with a defined handling of historical aggregates, is planned; this notice will be updated when it ships. To receive a copy of your data, write to the same address.
Your rights
Access, correction, export, deletion, and objection. Write to hello@polligon.io; we respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA/UK you may also complain to your supervisory authority.
Consent
At sign-in you are shown this notice and asked to consent to the processing described here. Your consent is recorded with a timestamp.
Changes
Material changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
